Step 1: Gather Your Credit Reports
Go to AnnualCreditReport.com and download your reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — for free.
Step 2: Highlight the Inaccuracies
Mark the incorrect info clearly. Take screenshots, notes, or print them out with highlights. Be as specific as possible.
Step 3: File a Dispute
Each bureau allows you to file online:
You'll usually get a response within 30 days — and if the error is removed, your score can improve fast.
